FRANK WILKENS, his family has been involved with Polo in the mid-states circuite since the late 60's. Previously the original Wilshire Farm in Mason, Ohio, owned by Frank's parents - Herb & Marilyn Wilkens, was the location for the Cincinnati Polo Club during the late 70's through the 90's. Hosting club games, tournaments and housing the majority of the players horses, Frank managed the 72 stall boarding facility in Mason, Ohio throughout the 90's. Frank along with his brother Herbie gave instruction to many new players that became "bit" by the "polo bug". Currently, Frank is the Delegate for the Cincinnati Polo Club.
MARY WILKENS, has loved horses for as long as she can remember, trail riding with her mother, Glady Reeves, since she was 3 years old; taking riding instruction from sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Wilkens, for many years. Riding and competing in a variety of disciplines throughout the years from Western Pleasure, English Equitation, Dressage, Polo, and Contesting she thoroughly enjoys interacting with the equine athlete. Currently, Mary is the advisor for Clermont County's 4-H "Equine Club" horse club assisting other youths in furthering their love and education of horses.
Moving from Mason, Ohio Frank and Mary Wilkens have relocated Wilshire Farm to Goshen, Ohio. Providing a full care 60 acre facility for the equine athlete. Check out our Boarding page for more information regarding the facility.
